I always opt for the old-school, Vietnam style camo. Does that make me a geezer?

It depends where/what I am hunting. 99.9% of the time I use real tree camo. You do mean for hunting, right? I don't think the Army would have liked if I brought my own camo!

I am not sure what it means, but I know some people take it pretty seriously. My mom bought my cousin a camo sweathshirt for casual wear, and my cousin laughed at her for buying the wrong brand, so I guess in some necks of the woods it has taken on a Nike vs Reebok type tone.

Uh, it says I was on active duty back in the day when woodland BDUs and DCUs were the fashion of the day. I do have some Realtree seat covers in the truck, though ...

I usually wear Real Tree's Advantage Timber while hunting. Blends right in, doesn't it? :D

My Olive Drab shirts and fatigues from the 1960's-'70's no longer will drape my expanded girth. Just a sad memory now, but still put away in the duffel bag in my attic since 1972.

I sport khaki/sky blue camouflage with a navy/crimson rugby stripe tie- not tiger stripe- which helps me blend into my office environment. Helps me maintain my tactical advantage over two receptionists that I suspect would otherwise spend too much time making personal calls.

I chose PenCott® Greenzone for my H&K G3 chest rig:

This camo pattern is considered one of the top for concealment in temperate forest environments, which is were I spend most of my time. What does it say about me? I would have to think it says I'm a total badass. And you know what? I am.

It was on sale...
+1

It also says I used to really like Soviet surplus. Sovit woodland doesn't look like anything here.

My dad did 20 years and never got to wear camo. I wore his 'tropical' tan jacket he had in Thailand 'til it fell apart. I would like to get some of those new Air Force tiger cammies as a nod to my dad. But wow, they are spendy. Would love to find another 'bush' jacket like his.

I bought three pair of wrangler cargo pants to work around the house in. They are colored some kind of light and dark brown blobs all mixed up. The cottontails let me get real close before they move so I guess it's some camo pattern. :D

Sounds like my dad's shorts lol! Are they kind of washed out looking?

Generally I don't like the styling of the old patterns - though I don't think it really makes a whole heap of difference (I'm totally willing to admit that it's largely a fashion choice).

My *PREFERENCE* tends to be RealTree Max-4/5, but I've also got a decent amount of Realtree XTRA, Mossy Oak Shadowgrass, and Mossy Oak Break-up in the closet.

Most of my hunting wardrobe I buy after hunting season when it's all on clearance :).

I've got some Mossy Oak Camo & some that looks like the old school stuff. Mine says this was what I could find that looked warm or this is what someone decided to give me. I don't get real weirded out about it.

Judging by the number of folks up here who walk around Walmart wearing a Sitka jacket like it's a badge of honor, I'm betting they think it says a lot.

Is that the stuff they sell up there at the Cabela's? MAN is that some pricey stuff!! Too expensive for this old cowhand. Bet it's nice though!!

What does not owning a single piece of clothing in any camo pattern say about a person?
