What firearm fired today?

I thought it looked like 22lr, why I asked about the break. What does that enhance for 22?

Yesterday I test fired my latest Polymer 80 build, a compact long slide in 40S&W and also took my G44 to test a couple of new ProMag 18 round magazines. The build functioned flawlessly and so did the G44 ProMag's.

I took the Norinco T-54 to the range yesterday. Don't laugh, it's the first pistol I bought, and I still enjoy shooting it. For the uninformed, it's a Tokarev, came into the US with a 9mm barrel and some wonky grips back in the 90's.

I swapped in a 7.62 barrel and picked up some 7.62 Tok ammo, and I've put a couple boxes of surplus through it (70 of Yugo, 72 of Romanian). Nice, accurate shooter, without any issues of note.

Why the caliber change? Well, I think it's neat to have a multi-caliber gun (especially with just a barrel swap to do so), and I'd been wanting to do that for a long time. I came across a decent deal for the barrel, so I did it.
Also, I have a good stash, but I'm hesitant to dig too much into it before things revert back to normal. When I looked around, Tok ammo was cheaper than 9mm, so that gave me justification.

Czechpoint VZ-58: 7.62x39. Internally it’s —Quite different— than the rifle which it externally resembles.

To understand how the components function, watching the 3-D video on YouTube still leaves me a “bit” befuddled.

Contemplate this: the chief designer was 25 years old.o_O Czech engineering.

20ga Shockwave. Just for fun I took it over to the clay pigeon range and had them launch 3 birds for me. Hit one of three! :D

Actually it was yesterday. My Bergara Approach and Sako A7 Hunter, both in 6.5 Creedmoor. Had a Canadian friend with me who’d only heard about the cartridge. Both guns were dialed in and we both shot well. He hit a steel target at 600 yards on his first try. He’d never shot more than about 200 up until that point. It was a very good day.

Headed to the range with the LCPll in a few minutes. I shoot the small barrels often but not doing well with this gun. So, I look at it as a challenge. I do great with the LCR22 which will be making the trip.

Went shooting with a coworker today. Was hoping he'd bring more than 1 gun. He ended up bringing his new FN 503. I brought my new to me VP40 to try out along with my regular TX22, Beretta Neos, and my Henry Golden Boy to let him try. I loaded in some Aguila Colibri and he said something must be wrong cause it wasn't firing. He wasn't prepared for how quiet the Colibri were in the Henry. I love my new VP40, very accurate. His 503 shot nice but I disliked the trigger and how skinny the grip was.

I called in "sick" yesterday & took my Mrs. to the range :neener:

My Sig P226X5 and my Glock 35 performed flawlessly. My Kimber remains the most hated loved 10mm in the safe. It continues to be problematic, but I take it out anyways.

I took my Mini 14 (hadn't shot it since I purchased it a year ago), my Mini 30 (with new firing pin for steel case stuff), my GSR, and my 1895G. Shot them all at 100 yards. I sighted in my Mini 30 a little, it was on paper but a little high and to the right. The Mini 14 with open sights was perfect. The GSR is still right on target as well as my 1895G. It was raining and cold, but the club has covered shooting. It was fun.
