Cool little home-made UAV.

Subject question was purposely ambiguous:

#1)What type of gun to mount on a UAV? I've seen it mentioned that this would be an IDEAL situation for 'Metal Storm'. It's compact, efficient in weight and space, has few moving parts. so less chance of jam, and if the whole thing goes KB no human is holding it.

#2)What type of gun to shoot those bad boys down? Supposing they're moving at 90 fps speeds 500 feet up, that's some serious lead to calculate. Let's see, if your shot travels a constant 1000 fps that's half a second and 45 feet the target moved.

This leads to a follow-up question about firing technique, after you've chosen your firearm. Firing uphill, as threads have already established, does not need correction - normally, because gravity is constant. But firing upwards for long distances your shot will be lower, simply because it will be a little slower by gravity working along with air friction to slow it down, and thus gravity acts on it for a bit longer time pulling it towards the Earth.

How do anti-aircraft sights deal with this? Or do they simply overcome the discreptancies by increasing shot dispersion? I've read that the Tungusta was more effective with it's cannons against aerial targets while moving, and it was speculated that was because movement increased dispersion.

Thanks for reading all that, and I hope to see some great suggestions!
