What gun did you always want but couldn't afford, but then you could afford it, but wasn't sure you really still wanted it, but went and bought it anyway, and decided you didn't like it because it turned out not to be the gun you really wanted, so you put it away, then a little while later you got it out again and decided you might like it, so bought a bunch of ammo real cheap, and went out and shot it, but it was uncomfortable so you decided you really didn't like it, but not as much as when you first bought it and decided you didn't like it, just a little more, even though it's aesthetically very unpleasant, and doesn't shoot straight, but you're going to keep it just in case someday you should decide you really want one of these guns, but don't want to have to shop for it again?

Forgive me for this post Lord.

LOL! Is this in honor of all the "What gun did you buy and not like?" threads?

On board with everything accept keeping it just in case. My Sig P556 is going away.

Good one man.

I'm kind of bothered that I followed that. :D

For me, it was a Glock. Traded for a G19, kept it awhile, got rid of it, got another, threw in back of the safe, went to work where I was issued a Glock 10mm Special (;)), decided to get a G17 for practice, got another G19......

I guess I'm now a Glock guy, though it took from 1989 to 2003 for me to make the transition...

:p

Forgive me for this post Lord.

That explains the extent of which I followed this thread. For me it was a G32 until I had a Kaboom. Then it gladly went away. I will never own another Glock as long as FN keeps making such a good product.

I could also mention the Taurus line of products I kept giving a chance to...lesson learned.

73 Buick Century.

At least until the transmission went out.

And it wouldn't group worth a darn.

But I kept trying.

That has to be one of the longest run-on sentences I have ever encountered! Even more disturbing, I actually understood what it was all about.

The short answer to the long question is no.

Me too ... but to the point, for me, it was an Special Weapons SW-32 ... basically it’s an HK-93 receiver with a modified magwell and 7.62x39 barrel.

I thought it was an awesome idea ... maybe it was just the execution but it turned out to be an awful idea. I would jam up with any mag that held over 5 rounds and for whatever reason the recoil was out of this world ... it broke the factory recoil buffer my collapsible stock ... I had to use a standard stock and factory HK-21 (heavy duty) recoil buffer.
