For the most part, when out and about or in bed during this coldest part of the winter, it my H&K USP45C. Nothing says reliability like H&K. Usually a P-32 BUG in the back pocket when out, also.
Well, my .38 S&W's are long gone, they're now replaced with a Keltec P11 (loaded with Corbon 115 gr HP's ) and a Saiga 12 not far away. I moved here in Texas (from IL.), so its not too cold anymore!
Got tired of rolling over on them cold pistols while sleeping in bags of polyester.
Duck down didn't fix the the cold and a Colt, S&W, Detonic's, Walther or Ruger never made any heat.
I went for a 88 pound Doberman. She is short haired and likes to stay inside and safe.
Well at work I have no choice a 226 w german 147 win along with a m-4.
Personal is usually a glock 23 with 40 rds of goldot. Sometimes a 226 in 357 sig with remington bonded golded saber . Custom 45's staying in safe along with 405 winchester if need large bore.
my guns don't change really. Glock 23 rides just behind my left hip on hot and cold days. my truck gun is Glock 23 w/ a Glock 22 mag and a Ruger 10/22 rifle behind the seat. at home, i rest comfortably with a Sig 226 loaded with 180 gr. hydrashoks and the winchester 1300 with 5 rounds of buckshot in the mag. tube. the selection stays pretty constant throughout the year.
