What happened to all the Nagant Revolvers

After the end of the World as we know it, when all other firearms have broken, I expect my Nagant will still be functional. Unless ammunition scarcity requires I shoot only 7.62x25 Tokarev and the spare cylinder finally decides to blow-up after hundreds of rounds. Today, in these times of relative plenty, I pretty much stick to low powered 7.62x38R and .32 Magnum to ensure it will be intact for doomsday.

Please identify all ammo you have or plan to fire in your 1895 Russian Nagant Revolver, for clarity.

Thanks.:)

7.62x38R Nagant, 7.63x25 Mauser, 7.62x25 Tokarev, .32 ACP, .32 S&W, .32 S&W Long, .32 H&R Magnum, and pretty much any other low powered .32 caliber rimmed cartridge I can find that fits a Nagant cylinder and bore and will not immediately blow it up.

Years ago, 'The Blue Press', the Dillon monthly catalog, had an article on converting .32-20 brass to reload for the Nagants. Rather than modify the guns, I further modified the brass, taking .010" off the rim thickness and .024" off the rim OD. I also use the Lee die set, but quickly tired of lubricating the sizer and subbed a Lee carbide M1 Carbine sizing die for it. My three hundred new such cases are still going strong, as they don't have the length to bridge the b/c gap like the OEM ammo. They also don't have the thin opening wall thickness - which leads to a very short reloading life and may be the reason Starline only briefly made the brass. I even got my C&R ffl for just my Nagants! See the 1895 Nagant specific sub-forum at Gunboards for more such info.

It's one of the most elegant looking revolvers out there. Unfortunately I missed the cheap boat, too.
