Sorry if this question has been answered in the the forum already but when I searched the forum I got nothing. I have tried the old links I had for their website but get nothing now. I tried Googling them but all the links are dead ends. The closest I got was Iberian something but still no info. Have they gone out of business or sold? I was about to buy one but if they are no more then their lifetime warranty is worthless. Thanks to those who reply.

When oh when is the new .45 carbine coming out? Any updates from the folks "In the know".

I suppose in reality I am not the person in the know on this, I have however followed it for some time, and I believe you can forget about the .45 cal. Hi-Point carbine. It is not going to happen.

Well,

When my shootin' Pard talked to them around 20 January, they told him to look for it in late July or August.

But they've been saying that for how many years? I don't get it either, they had one at Shot Show, yet they're not available....what's up with that?

I'm not sure I want one anyway, it looks huge compared to the 4095 and 995 below it. Won't take 1911 mags either, big FAIL right there IMO.

So you want cheap mags. Well, that's great. I'd rather have some hi-caps than cheap 8-round mags.
Well, with 1911 mags, you can buy the quality you desire. This includes the snail drums and extended mags (I believe you mentioned "hi-caps" [which are a fiction created by the antigunners]).

With hi-point mags, you get whatever they make.

Hi cap mags were the only problem I could find with my Hi-point 9mm carbine. I ditched the 15 rounder and went back to the factory mags and haven't had a problem since.

Who said that? I'd just like to use the 30+ 1911 mags I already have.

I wouldn't say I'm "in the know" but I bought a Hi-point carbine a few months ago and researched them extensively (my hipoint http://picasaweb.google.com/jewishhatmaker/HiPoint995CarbineCollection?feat=directlink).

They have stopped producing the old carbines and are beginning to produce the new carbines (probably taking awhile to setup new machines/change the ones they have). Who knows how long it will be before they are actually available but everybody who has purchased a hi-point recently has found paperwork inside that says "995/4095/4595." (9,.40,.45). So they ARE making it...it just might be awhile.

Or you could get a Kel-Tec sub 2000 in .40 and use Glock magazines even the 29 rounder works! Plus its easier to store, and looks cool when you unfold it in front of someone.

I have a Hi-Point 9mm carbine but want the Sub-2000 in 9mm. Finding one that isn't 100 over MSRP is a different story.....
