I was doing a little bit of gun store hopping the other day in search of another Kel Tec P32, and I noticed that nobody has them locally anymore. They had plenty of P3AT's but no more P32's.

Just wondering if this is due to a supply shortage, or perhaps people just don't want the P32 anymore with all of the equally tiny 380's that are out there.

I think your right about the size and caliber thing. P32s are still being made, look around some more, and as you look, give the revolvers some thought as little semi autos are not reliable, be they Ruger, Kel Tec or Beretta. You would be better off with a North American Arms 22Mag in your pocket, than any of the above little semi autos. orchidhunter

Thats interesting, my P32 has never failed even once since I took it out of the box... gotta be about 1000 rounds through it so far.

Except that my jumbo hands can barely hold one... not to mention that you have to cock the hammer with every shot. :( The P32 is tiny, but not that tiny... and I can send off 11 rounds in about 3 seconds.

I don't mean to bust your chops or anything, but I have to disagree with the above positions based on my experience. Anyway, I'm just curious as to why the local gun shops don't stock the P32 around here anymore.

I have a friend here in Michigan also looking for a P32 and the local gunshop reports that they can't keep them in stock. The gunsmith also mentioned that Kel-Tec got a big government contract regarding plastic injection molding for NASA (their main business) and a resultant move to a new building in FL has slowed gun production considerably.

My Kel-Tec P32 has been absolutely flawless and I think it's the perfect size caliber for its size; I think a 38 round out of this size gun would be too much for me. My advice is to keep looking (I know there is a used one at Whittaker Guns in KY) and be sure to check out the Kel Tec Owner's Group at: http://www.ktog.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl. You'll find some nice used guns there, as that is where I picked up my P32. Good luck.

I assume you go to work on horseback, since those new fangled auto-mobiles are so unreliable.

I've also heard that Kel is working hard to get their new bullpup rifle out, at least on a limited basis, ASAP, and they have routed resources away from pistol production towards that end.
