Wow, watching that video- that has to be the most complicated draw ever conceived. Does anyone really believe they will actually remember all that with a 500# bear charging at them?
I used to have a .44 Alaskan that I carried when hiking, by which I mean real hiking long distances over steep terrain, not just taking a stroll in the forest. I tried a chest holster and hated it. Climbing uphill the holster will be sagging away from your chest, then thumping your breastbone with every step. It's like the Chinese water torture. There were several long hikes or backpacking excursions off the trail system, cross country and extreme terrain, where I left the thing at home due to its weight. I switched to a G20SF in a Bianchi M12 belt holster attached to the backpack's hip belt- works great.
I *think* Bianchi makes a revolver version of that holster, with the quik-lok attachment, that would work great for your Alaskan.
