Lets say our country has set laws like Mexico where you can own handguns only up to .380 acp and the only pistol approved would be a Bersa.
Revolvers are not in this scenario this is just for fun.
You can have any size Bersa pistol only in .380 or lower what would be?
CCW would not be affected just your choice would you be able to adapt to that type of change? Not being able to carry your daily carry pistol and caliber.

15 rounds in standard single stack Bersa = 2*7 round mags plus one in chamber or 1*9 round mag and 1*7 round mag equals 16 or 17 with one in chamber.Either way you will get similar results just needing more spare mags but is quick to reload. The only Advantage the double stack version has is less reloading.

Beats a .22LR,.25 acp,and .32 acp.
You bet I would carry my Bersa .380 as a pocket gun over calibers under it in fact if I am comfortable and good enough with it I will have it as a main carry gun and a 9mm or some 38 special as a back up just in case things get out of control and need something more powerful.

I bought a Bersa Thunder years ago. Still carry it as a pocket gun on occasion. I had it out to the range a few weeks ago with a new shooter. Still accurate and reliable. I consider a .22 a deadly weapon, so the Bersa fits into the realm of deadly as well. We don't let people fool around with either caliber at our range.

the bersa thunder 380 and their cc models are very good, cheap, reliable guns. not quite ferarris, but more like that old dependable chevy pickup truck.

No matter which model it was I'd concentrate on finding the most puissant and reliable HP load I could get and practice, practice, practice.

Gaining the ability to deliver fast, precise placement of every round until the threat stopped would be a more pressing concern to me than mag capacity or the model number.

Corbon PowrBall self-defense ammo!!

That will spruce up that .380!

I walk around with a Keltec P32 more than half the time!

Beretta, Ruger, CZ, Walther, KelTec, and numerous other companies make .380. Also, if you're in Mexico just say you're a drug goon and get yourself an AK.

Bt 380

Was my first SA and I used it for CCW qualification. I find it extremely accurate and with over 700 flawless rounds through it in various configurations it has earned my trust as the go everywhere pistol, because it is my don't care if it falls overboard or is confiscated gun.

10 rounds of CORBON DPX or GS 102 gr isn't too bad for personal protection.

I also carry some hardball.

I concur with the DPX and Golden Saber choices...BTW;are the Federal HydraShoks still available in the .380????That one was pretty decent back in the day( when I was toting a Grendel P10 for a hide out.)

How hard would you guys be laughing if you saw your local police department having Bersa .380's in their holsters?

In te real world, the 9mm Makarov is only a little more powerful then the .380, yet the Soviets used the 9mm Makarov as their standard pistol caliber for ages and it's been effective for them.

So I wouldn't laugh off a .380 especially with good training. It's all about training and accuracy. Most people in a life or death situation can't shoot for beans when the adrenaline is flowing and they are panicking.

I'd move to a country with common sense. If the deal is just the .380 caliber there are a large number of .380's I'd choose over a Bersa. None of them with aluminum or plastic frames.

Bersa 383A

Purchased my Bersa 383A in 1990 it has been rock solid since. When ever weather dictates or clothing demands a more discrete carry option than my Officers the Bersa is the goto gun.

.380 is a very capable caliber, if using good quality loads.

I've thought about a Bersa Thunder 380 for some time now, but just havent made a decision yet.

Bersa thunder has the plus also. This has been out a while A hicap 15 shot Thunder .
So you have the 7 +1, and extended mag 9+1 shot ,15 shot hicap and the CC thats 8+1
