I am thinking about getting a used S & W 1076 from ky imports and was wondering if they were what kind of accuracy that they were capable of. I was wanting to use it as my farm holster gun and pickup pistol. Can you change out the hammer to a standard hammer so that it could be a DA/SA? What kind of condition have the KY guns been in? Thanks.

I can hit pop cans at 75 yards with mine.

Yes, the hammer can be changed.

The guns that I have seen come from them were in good shape. Had the normal holster wear and carring markes but nothing out of the ordinary.

The one I had was pretty accurate. The range I went to at the time was only 50' long, but I could easily hold 3" - 4" groups at 50' w/ it.

question

question about KY Imports?

what is their asking price for the 1076? Do they have a website or any other contact info?

How are they to deal with?

Axeman_g,

I had a KY 1076 for a while and really liked it. Only sold it to buy something else....not a good reason really. The gun had some holster wear, but internally looked perfect. I would say it was accurate, but I never put it on paper past 15yds. Pop-cans at 25 were dead in one shot, though.

:D

Their web site is:

www.kyimports.com

Easy to deal with. I just called them up, pulled out the Mastercard, and in a few days had a 1076. My dealer was already on file so no extra delays.
Had I not just gotten a Glock 20, I would be on the phone with them again.
