Hello

Like many of you I have an UpLULA and like it very much. Also, I assume that you (if you are a man) are like me and don't normally read the manuals that come with your gun gadgets. After all real men don't need no stupid manuals to figure out how to use our gun things. Gun things are man things and we just know how to use them by instinct. :neener: However....

Looking at my UpLULA the other day I noticed that it has a lock on it. When you close the front springy thing and push down on the lock it stays closed. I have no idea what it is for. Does anyone here know? And of course I threw away the instructions the day I bought it.

Take care

JJ

+1. I have it is a small cleaning kit and the reduced size allows it to fit into the compartment.

I have an UpLULA and a Baby UpLULA and like them very much.
Man, it make these old arthritic joints in my hands feel better, and I can load my mags a lot faster.:)

As others have said, it reduces the size and makes it easier to store.

BTW, as "Honest Charley" used to say: "If everything else fails, read the instructions"..... :D

It keeps children from using it........if it only saves one child.......

Don't feel bad. I just checked the instructions and the only mention of it is to unlock it before use. So you did the right thing when you threw the instructions away.

I've never noticed the lock, but I agree, the Uplula is awesome! How did I live without it for so long.

Hickock45 put me onto these things.

The lock is there only to piss me off when I'm using it in my left hand. No use for it whatsoever IMO if I need to stuff it into a pocket of a range bag I just squeeze it and jam it in next to a box or two of ammunition. At USPSA matches it engages from time to time when I'm in a hurry to load magazines. It has taught me to shoot a stage then go load up my magazines before helping to run the match. The lock is still useless, but a handy contrivance none the less.

I reckon the lock is a non-issue to me, since I didn't even know it was there. But the UpLULA is wonderful! If I get to the range and don't have mine, it just ruins the whole experience. Get arthritis in your thumbs and you'll know what I mean.

As others have said:It stores easily. I am so spoiled that I hardly ever load a mag without it. My new shooter daughter gave it to me for Christmas several years ago.I had never seen one before I saw her loading mags for her Sig 938 one day. My arthritic fingers and hands make it impossible to fully load my mags without it. A little steep in price IMO but worth every cent.

UpLULA Magazine Loader

I'm tempted to make a contribution to The American Arthritis Foundation in the name of UpLULA.

It would be good for both.:)
