What is the maximum rounds for a benelli M4 with mag extension?
I'm planning on buying the standard non collapsible stock.

How much does the mag extension cost?

Are there aftermarket companies that make a mag extension for a benelli M4?

found out the mag ext. adds 2 rounds and cost $67. Does benelli make a +4 round mag ext.?

I bought a standard stock and a +2 extension. You'll have 7 rounds in the magazine, if you take the mag apart you'll notice there is a plug in the standard mag. You have the ability to have one round on the carrier, and you can have a round in the chamber. For a total of 7+1+1 or 9 rounds. Isn't IPSC 3 gun limited to 9 rounds anyway?

If I did it anyone can. It helps if you have a snap ring pliers set. Oh and be extremely careful, the sping is under tension. :what:

dport, thanks for the valuable feedback.

Does benelli or an aftermarket company make a +4 mag extension for the M4?

Not that I'm aware of. It would stick out close to 6 inches past the end of the barrel.

Has anyone tried the "one on the carrier" trick on the M4's? All the post 98 Benelli M1 and SBEs I've seen have the bolt carriers modified to prevent people from deliberately loading a round onto the carrier. It still allows rounds from the mag to land on the carrier, which is part of the firing cycle, but does not allow enough clearance to shove a round onto the carrier as you put the bolt home on the loaded chamber. This redesign was intended to prevent hunters from using this Benelli feature to hold 4 shells in their guns. You have to modify the carriers to get the extra +1 shell capacity.

The M4, at least the commemorative version, allows one on the carrier.

Does anyone know of a place that sells the 2 rnd mag ext. for a low price?
