What is the "ONE" gun you won't let go

Several of my guns have a strong emotional attachment associated with them. My S&W 686 used to belong to my grandfather, it was one of his favorite guns. My Glock 23 was my first handgun and is my edc, it's the right size, it's versatile, it's accurate, though there are a million just like it and it's easily replaceable. My Remington 870 was the first real gun that was just mine, it got me into hunting- it's taken more deer than I can remember and I have broken thousands of clays with it, every scratch on the stock tells a story. And my Marlin 336 .30-30 was a 21st birthday present from my dad.

I don't think I could let any of those go.

Ruger Super Blackhawk 44Mag 10.5", First Gun that I bought in Washington. The one that my 3 sons argue about getting when I'm gone... I'm taking it with me... LOL

My number one would be my 1911 Colt ACP, 2nd - my 1894 Winchester in .25-.35 1898 build!!

I have no family passdown/heirloom guns. Surely if I did, one of those would be the 'keeper'. But my ancestors were all getting killed and chased out of russia or eastern europe and got to Ellis Island with pants, shirt, hat and a book or two.
So, my keeper is the first gun I ever bought, an H&K P7M13. A precision piece that started my desire to collect a few. Now well more than enough to pass down to my three children. Or rather, young adults. Have to start the tradition sooner or later.

There are 2, my Colt MK IV Series 70 Government Model .45 and my Thompson 1928A1 "Tommy" gun.

Ed Brown Special Forces. "Clean" slide, 10-8 rear sight, gold bead front sight, countersunk muzzle, VZ grips.

A 1960`s model 110, Savage 243. most accurate rifle I`ve ever owned. Bar none. To much personal history for this puppy to go anywhere. :)

Ruger mkII target with custom work on it via my Father. I learned how to shoot on this gun, and the circumstances it came to me mean I won't part with it even if it becomes a paper weight.

an old wall hanger my stepdad gave me...the Remington 1889 dbl bbl 10 ga

now if we're talking shooters only, itd be my Socom16

I don't have any guns I won't let go. I have certain roles I need or want filled, HD rifle, HD shotgun, full size carry pistol, compact carry pistol, etc. I find whatever gun I feel best fills that role, and if something else comes along that does it better, I have no problem selling what I have to get what will do the job better. Guns are just tools to me, and if I find a better tool, I'll use the better tool.
