How do you know that ?
It appears to have a custom machined upper receiver and barrel shroud, based on the Soumi design, but with an added charging handle. The lower is likely from a surplus Sten parts kit. Alexander is right, the quality of the machining and finish is first-rate.
Where did you find the picture?

You are both right. I took the picture myself, I made it, thanks for the compliment :)

Here's another pic, same gun.

The slanted barrel shroud, at the muzzle, could act as a sort of compensator, directing the firing gases upwards. But to do that, it would have to extend beyond the actual muzzle. Am I missing something?

You are probably right, that's most likely why Tikkakosky changed the design later on in the production. I used the early type as it's easier to use barrels of varying lengths

DS or <86?

A friend has a STEN which is kind of a nothing gun. It would be improved by an upper like yours. And maybe fix whatever lets go full auto when set on semi.

Stuart Slade in his alternate history of WWII and after, armed US troops with a product improved PPSh instead of Thompsons, Grease Guns, and Carbines. Nicer made and beefed up for a really hot load.
