What Is Your Overall Gun?

What gun do you like for everything? Daily carry, truck/car, hunting, camping, fishing, home and self defense? Mine would have to be a my Glock 22 or H&k USPC in a .40S&W. I love them both and they have been very reliable and very good guns. The H&K tucks away better. But I am better with the Glock.

Have several of each and they are hard to beat for "does it all" guns.

So why don't I have just one? Beats me. Lately been carrying a M&P45...

Because of the CCW application, I'll say 1911. Next choice would be a 12ga. pump gun.

My glock 19 is my beater. I use it for everything but CC, where I use the 1911 instead.

If there was such as thing as a reasonably priced 1911 with the glock finish, it would probably replace my glock. The zero maintenance tennifer finish is the main reason I use it. My 1911s are just as reliable as my glock, I just hate oiling them to keep them from rusting, or foregetting about one in the range bag for three weeks and having to have it blasted...

If I could keep only one handgun it would be my all steel S&W 4006. I love the way it soaks up .40 recoil in comparision to the newer plastic framed guns.

Glock 19.Ultra reliable,carries well,shoots just fine,holds plenty of rounds,doesn't look particularly any worse after 16 years of wear and tear.

S&W CS45 always in the car.



S&W 1066 back up for the other two. Too heavy to carry and too big for glove box. It's a trunk gun when in the car.
