What works
Sig P239 9mm most days. Almost unbelievable how easy it is to carry and accurately hit with a gun this size. Fast becoming my favorite. Wish I had bought one sooner!
Wintertime sometimes finds me with a Springfield .45 that I built up myself with some Wilson Combat parts and a Videcki trigger. The more I carry a gun, the lighter one I want. The 1911 is going back to being my hiking/backwoods gun until I can get a compact one to customize for concealed carry. Probably something from Springfield or Kimber that I can modify to my tastes.
For fast pocket carry and maximum concealment, I use a S&W model 640 Centennial stainless hammerless, with a Wolff Spring kit and hand polished internal parts. Very fast on target, and surprisingly accurate with the Federal Hydra-Shock ammo. Recoil is not bad, either.
