What kind of interesting old ammo do you have?

Dang I wish I could find this... my dad was doing renovations to the foundation of a certain old government building with a dome here in topeka and brought home 70% of a 45-70 casing. The rest had eroded away after being under this building for 100+ years. Near it were a bunch of old saki bottles that oxidized in front of his eyes.

My friends dad gave me these to go with my 16ga side by side with hammers and damasks barrels

5 of my last 6 rounds of FN .380 2Z.

178gr FMJ bullet. Berdan primed unfortunately. Zips along at about 620 fps out of a 5" tube.

I got a baggie with 26rnds in it for $10 from a guy on a local gun swap board. Most of those got fed through my Iver Old model Hammerless, and this is what I have left. Winchester 146gr LRN shown for comparison. IMG_20190118_122801.jpg IMG_20190118_122737.jpg

Not mine, but while helping a non-gun friend go through some gun stuff in his grandpa's attic, we uncovered an apparent bring back box from the South Pacific. Included were various Japanese trophies including some 8mm Nambu ammo and 2 intact clips of 6.5x50, various rounds of .30 cal including AP, Tracer and some M2ball with the tips cut off with a wire cutters. Unknown if this was done after the war, or if those were the infamous field expedient hollow points rumored to have been used in that theater in which his Grandpa served as a combat marine. Also found were several magazines and parts for the H&R Reising, 2 Japanese bayonets with scabbard, an M1917 bayonet with scabbard, and everything but the slide for an M1911. Apparently gramps was a pretty good smuggler. Wouldn't be surprised to find a Reising SMG under the floorboards. He did find a T38 carbine tucked in a waxed canvas scabbard behind the chimney.

Ah yes, armor piercing, tracers etc. all in good time
Well, at one point, I had a goal of getting one box (if only the box) each of all the various types of military issue ammo for the military arms in the collection.
I'd love to find a box of the .3006 Gallery, and the issue box of Blanks. Preferably for less than the price of a Raven--sigh.
7.62 nato boxes of tracer, AP, and blanks are kid of unicorns, partially for how little was issued out that way.

Full box of 32-20 projectiles from who knows when.

I remember that Russian .22 ammo! Had an AR-7 that, surprisingly enough, actually tolerated that junk. Filthy, smoky, but would only get one or two per fifty sometimes no jams or FTEs, whereas the squeaky clean domestic stuff wouldnt go without 2-3 per mag. Ugly black cases too.

Mmm that 32-20 would shoot nice out of my ol 1873...except I couldn't bring myself to do it to that fine, full box of cartridges

I had a lot of that when I had my 1935A pistol. Perhaps as many as 1% went BANG.
At the going rate of $1 a round for French ammo that has a 99.9% chance of not firing, it’s just for collecting. I have a MAS-38 with the prefix A. It’s an early model without German markings. It was also not converted for police use after the war.
