Im looking at buying a bird gun for this season and need some help. It will be used for dove, quail and turkey, maybe. I want something as versitle as possible and this will be my only hunting shotgun for now.

I came across a H&R auto turkey gun in the classifieds and trying to figure out what make it a "turkey gun."

BTW, heres the gun in question for me:

They usually have a shorter barrel 26" 28", the choke is alot tighter than the standard Full, camo. Some have speacial sights or scopes.

A gun that will kill turkeys, which has been a Mossy 500 or a Stoeger 2k with turkey shot, as far as my luck has taken me.

Mine was always a Stevens 311 12ga, choked F/M, single brass bead up front, loaded with a stout load of 4's in a 2 3/4" shell. Turkeys never complained.

I've got a Mossberg 9200, Woodlands camo, 24" VR barrel, extra full choke tube, and twin bead sights. With a couple of other choke tubes, I've used it for pheasant, as well as grouse. Handles high brass, low brass, light loads, and heavy ones without any problems. And it even says "turkey" right there on the box. Pretty much covers all the bases.
