LA....Lower Alabama, I think. The tinfoil confuses
I think I have the basic's covered.
-Ruger SR-556
-Arsenal AK-74
-Remington 700(300WTBY)
-GSG-5(22 MP5)
-Stevens bolt(22)
-Marlin 1894 LTD STD III(45-70)

I'm wondering what's next. I don't want another bolt gun. I have been thinking about

1. Another AR, maybe a DPMS Recon and add a suppressor later. No a fan of a pistol caliber AR's. Maybe AR-10
2. A Vepr in 7.62x54. Always been a fan of the dragunov.
3. Arsenal AK-47 in 7.62x39, some consider a must have.
4. Maybe a Saiga and convert myself, but little time to do it.
5. Step-up to a PTR-91, I've heard they are not comfortable to shoot.
6. M-14/M1A, classic
7. Convert a Pistol into a SBR, like an AR/PTR/AK/Ppsh
8. Other suggestions?
I want something that is fun to shoot, but not expensive ammo. What do you say?
***I'm not looking for a shotgun, already have 10. Not looking for ammo suggestion, I keep at least 2500 rounds of every caliber I have. I don't need assessories for what I have, they are tricked out as much as I want. Just looking for a new rifle***

M1 Garand from the CMP? .30-06 ammo can still be had for <$20 per 20 rounds, and it is a great piece of history....Definitely on my list of future acquisitions.

I see that you already have a gun chambered in 45-70 so I'd suggest a Winchester 1885 High Wall. If not get a Garand from the CMP. If you'd like another 22 get a Ruger 10/22 and trick it out.

How about a nice Home Defense Shotgun. I picked up a Yugo SKS a while back and I just love shooting that thing. Plus 7.62 X 39 Ammo is reasonable.

Mosin 91/30 is always cheap fun to own and shoot. ;)

For fun, buy a Slide Fire or Bumpski stock for the Ruger. I have a SF on mine and it's the only reason I kept the overweight Ruger as the extra weight helps keep the gun from rising up too much when dumping a 40 round magazine. Stock up on ammo when it's on sale cause everyone will want to shoot it and 40 round mags only last a few seconds.

I also have a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 in .40 S&W that's a blast to shoot. Bought it used for $200. I added a small Crimson Trace laser sight and now it's a double blast to shoot. At 25 yds. I'm much more accurate with it than any of my pistols. Find a used one in 9mm and you'll have a fun, inexpensive shooter that won't punish your shoulder after 50 rounds like the .40 S&W.

Fun and cheap to shoot, but not in a handgun caliber. In my mind that leaves .22, .223/5.56 or 7.62X39. SBR's are fun, but from your list it seems to me that you could use one of two things.

Either a cool semi auto .22 rifle, like a tricked out 10/22 or something along the lines of an AR-10. I know that I didn't list the AR-10 above because they aren't really cheap to shoot, but they sure are fun and the cost of the ammo isn't obscene.

I have quite a few firearms myself and still have loads of fun shooting my Kidded out 10/22.

Ruger already has a slide fire stock for it. Still on the fence about that.
The sub 2000 maybe.
