i am looking for a new scope for my 30-30 and i want to stay in the 150 buck range.
i had a tasco 1.5-4x shotgun scope with a ring in the crosshairs and that worked great until it stopped holding a zero.
i hunt in low light and thick brush so clarity is pretty important.
the three i have been looking at are:

redfield 2-7x ($149)
nikon 2-7x ($125)
cabelas LEVERevolution 3-9x ($99)

what do you guys top your 30-30's with? (if anything..)
thanks for the help

I like a 4x32mm scope on my 30-30, but those are getting harder to find in new models. A Burris Fullfield II in 2-7x35mm would be the ticket, but any of the major brands make 2-7x32mm sized scopes that are perfect for a 30-30.

Bushnell Elite 3200
Redfield Revolution
Nikon ProStaff

Any of these would be great. Good luck.

2.5x or 3x leupolds with maybe a 3 minute dot, light, short and clear. they can be picked up used in your price range and they have a excellent warrenty. eastbank.

thanks for the help, that redfield revolution has my eye for some reason, it looks like just about all the scopes are very similar and all from good manufacturers

I've got a bushnell trophy 1.75-4 x 32 that works great. Got it for 60 from natchez shooting supplies. Good and clear, well made, and more than enough for a .30-30.
