I've got a mosin nagant with an ATI stock. I've got it bedded and free floated but the "free" scope that came with the stock is garbage. Not to mention it is about a 2 foot eye relief due to being mounted so far forward on the gun. I've decided to mount the ATI reciever mount on it but will need a new scope. I'm not real familiar with scopes and what will handle the heavier recoil of the gun. Basically want something cheap that will last me a few hundred rounds at least. Any suggestions? I don't want to spend much as I've already got double into the rifle and don't need to quadruple what its worth. Thanks

You don't specify what "cheap" means to you, nor what magnification range you want. If I were looking for a scope for that rifle I'd take a close look at the Redfield lineup and the Weaver lineup. A 2-7 or fixed 4X would be tempting.

Big fan of Weaver here. If you want to go cheaper, I really like the Mueller Optics scopes, especially the APV.
