I've been involved with firearms for almost 5 decades now. My favorites are semi-auto pistols. I've had many over the years. What is the one pistol that you love to shoot the most? I am a Sig & CZ fan and I also like Smith's M&P's. All good shooters. But my absolute favorite has become an ugly Glock 17 Gen5. I hit my best groupings with it and I don't feel bad about abusing it. I am not a Glock guy but I have to be honest that this is a good shooting pistol. I shoot it better than my P320 XFive Legion and my CZ TS2.

Glock 17 for me. It’s a LEO trade in range “beater” that I clean every 2000 rounds (+/-1000 rounds). It shoots any ammo and is cheap to fix if anything ever does break. I have fifteen $10 magazines so the overall cost of training with this gun is lower than most others.

HK USP with the LEM* trigger. It's big and bulky and completely non-adjustable but for some odd reason it just fits me and I shoot it pretty good.

*LEM is a light DAO type trigger setup. Same trigger weight from 1st shot to last and short reset. I did a Gray Guns control lever in mine to improve the break and shorten the reset a bit more.

My 10mms, one a 1911 the other a 2011. TBH though the 5 3/4" comp'd 2011 gets a slight nod at longer ranges. Last time out I put 6/6 on a small (10"?) swinger at 100 yds using my shooting bag to steady my hands. I thought that was pretty good for an old fart. :)

It's not so much a specific pistol,,,
As it is a specific size.

Full size pistols like my CZ-75B always feel a bit clumsy in my hands,,,
Whereas smaller ones like my Beretta 80 series and Bersa Thunders fit me better.

I'm no Annie Oakley with any handgun,,,
But for self defense drills I do best with my Bersa Thunder 380.

It's all about how it "melts" into my grip.
