I inherited 3 pistol belts and 3 holsters.
They fit nothing I own.
But they are in pretty fair shape.

One of the belts holds 22lr cartridges, but I have zero clue what fits the holster?

Another (brown) belt holds 45cal ammo just right, but I don't know what guns fit those holsters either.

The 3rd belt (black) is made for a left hand holster...but I can't figure out the bullet loops.
They are too big for 357/38...but too small for 45.

I do know that 2 of the holsters will fit my Blackhawk, it's just that they are too short.
I have a 6.50" barrel.
So they seem to be made for a 5.50" gun.

Anyways...how do you sell stuff like this when you don't even know what you have exactly?
Any ideas?

I think all of us end up with odd gun leather we can't identify easily. I've got a box of it. I'm thinking of a garage sale. Mind, some of it is worth something but but most of it isn't.

When you find out, post it here. I've got a drawer full of leather from over 30 years of gun-nuttery. Used leather has very little 'trade in' value, to the point that I've picked up some really nice holsters (that I needed at the time) for pennies on the dollar.

The last two were a Kramer pocket holster for a Kahr and a CCW holster (don't remember the brand) for a P7, 10 bux each.

If a pair of 1911s will fit the brown rig (obviously the holsters would need to be reshaped a bit), I might be interested in that one.

Id say keep them and take it as a challenge! You now have the perfect reason to find a few new guns to get! And if any one asks for a reason, just let them know the belts and holsters are lonely!!

(granted I just got done with a 12 hour shift, and I'm a little tired)

lol...
That's what I'm trying to do now...ha ha ha

Yes. I didn't expect they'd have much of a value money-wise.
But they "are" in pretty good shape.
I just kinda hate the thought of them just sitting here for the next 30 years because I have no "real" need for them.
But not knowing what they even fit makes it's harder....lol
Oh well.

It was just a shot in the dark anyways.
I thought "maybe" somebody might have an idea at least about the odd sized cartridge loops maybe.

I get in enough trouble with the wife now as it is buying and selling guns.
It could possibly take another 100 of them to figure this out.
I like the way you think!

You might check with some local gun shops to see if they might be interested. I have a shop a few blocks from my house that has a big box of used leather. Got me a "Virtually" new Bianchi for my 1911 out of that box for $15.

That's an idea.
I live way out in the country though.
Most pawn shops are a long ways away.
But it's worth a shot next time I drive to town.

I've sold gunleather on Gunbroker and E-bay.. seems like I had better luck on E-bay. You might try trading them -- MANY folks have a drawer full of holsters they don't use.

Look them over for maker's marks.

I don't see a single mark on anything at all except for the black holster.
It says "Hunter" on the back with the writing inside a powder horn symbol.
Everything else is totally blank.

Do you know anyone who does the Cowboy action shooting scene?, someone who rides horses might also want them for carrying their gun's when out for a ride------ranchers.
At least trade them for a couple box's of ammo at the local gun shop.

Personally, I would hold onto the brown rig (nice). You can always remove one of the holster's and make it a single rig. The moment you get rid of them, you will acquire a single action of some sort that needs leather. Then you will have to pay full price for it, easily $100 and more. Oil it up and put away for a rainy day when you need it. I,d give ya $20 for it if you were nearby in Michigan.

I was going to suggest cowboy action shooting too. Next time you hear of one take them to sell/trade. Or a gunshow. Probably won't get much at a gun show but it's a good excusee to go:p

Take them to a gunstore to figure what gun they're for. Sell them afterward.

UPDATE::)

I stated last night that the items had no markings.
Well, I was wrong.

Today in much better light, I looked closer and found a few.
I guess it was just too dim of lighting in here last night for my tired eyes.

1) The Black 22lr belt also says "Hunter-MED" on it, along with the "Hunter" stamp on the holster.

2) The brand spanking new looking Black left-handed belt says "Bianchi-36" on it.

3) The Brown/Tan belt with double holsters unfortunately still stayed the same. No markings that I can find.

NOTE:

It was not my original intention for this to be a "For Sale" thread, since this is the wrong place for that. I was only looking for advice.

However, since a few Mods are also participating in this thread as well now, if they say it's OK...I'll accept PMs from you couple guys who mentioned you may like one of these items.

I don't want to over-charge fellow members for any of this stuff.
But... I don't want to get robbed either.
Also factor in shipping costs.

The Black left-handed Bianchi belt for example appears brand new, very heavy duty, and hardly ever used more than once or twice or something. It's in FANTASTIC, just like new condition.

The other two are definitely used and worn.

If somebody wants to make a fair offer, I'll entertain them.
Again...as long as the Mods have no objections.
I didn't foresee anybody possibly wanting to buy these items when I posted here.
My apologies.

EDIT:

I found the Bianchi belt on-line here:

http://www.holsters.com/cowboy/actionrigs/outlaw_action_rig.asp

It actually sells new for $110
Apparently, those loops actually are for .45cal, but just must be so "new" that they are not even stretched out yet.
At the moment, it looks like it would work fine for .41cal or maybe even .40cal too.
38/357 is too loose though, and will fall out.
I won't ask that much for the belt of course, but it's an example of it's actual value in brand new condition.

Yes..."Me."
lol....
But they don't fit anything I personally own.
I can check with some of my neighbors though I guess.
I don't compete in CAS though, but I do ride.

This is about 1/4th of my back yard and the 4 horses of the apocalypse.
"Death" is second from the left...:D

Easily worth $100...and you'll give me 20 bucks for it.
lol...
What a Pal you are!
