Folks out there that have a collection. What two handguns
would be a must to keep ? Just for fun, what are your pets,
or necessities ? I would need my Glock 19 and S&W 29,
4" The Glock, concealable, high cap, 9mm. My 29, a shooter
and fills my handgun hunting niche. But, that's me. I don't
want to get into a, "this is better than that." Just what you
have in your collection, large or small, what are the two
handguns you would have to keep.

ONLY TWO, REALLY? How can I choose only 2 handguns?

OK, I'll try.
How about a S&W M686 and an original Ruger Bisley Vaquero in .45 Colt... (but I really want to add my Springfield 1911 and a Ruger Mark II)

EDIT: The OP changed it to 3 guns in Post #25 so I guess I'm only over by one! lol

That would be tough!
I would keep my glock 19 because of its versatility.
Secondly I would keep my sig p220 because it a tack driver.

Always a tough question and my answer changes from time to time. TODAY, I would say:

10/22
GP100

The two handguns I find the most essential are:

-Ruger KLCR w/ CT grip for CCW

-Glock 17L for home defense use, most all other shooting.

ETA: If we get to add a third, my 6" Ruger GP100 .357 w/ CT grip has become a new favorite.

My two favorite handguns

I would have to say my K-22 Smith & Wesson and a Ruger Blackhawk in 44 Mag.

As much as I love all of my S&W wheel gnus, if it came to SHTF or similar where only two were getting to be kept, the G26 (with G-17 and 18 mags) and the P7
One common ammo for both; if that was not an issue, then one of the 357 revolvers instead of the P7

That would be Stella and Didi,,,

That would be Stella and Didi,,,
.22 LR and .38 Special cartridges,,,
Model 15 & Model 18 Combat Masterpieces.

If These were all I owned,,,
I would not feel under-gunned.

If I only get to have 2 one is going to be a pocket gun and the other will be a duty size gun.
There are many combinations I could get by with in my collection.

I can't imagine a scenario where I would be forced to choose only two but if I had to do it, I reckon I'd choose my Taurus 709 Slim for HD and CC and my Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt for hunting and general fun. I'm assuming your question was for handguns that we currently own.

Dan Wesson 741 8"

Dan Wesson 15-2 8"

They are side by side, in the safe. Four speed loaders each and 50 rounds of ammo each. Plus, take down tools.

686 Competitor and 460V.

Honestly though I'd need my HK45 and 3" 686 too. 2 guns just doesn't do it.

Model 67 S&W, that's a SS .38 Combat Masterpiece, and my Springfield loaded model 1911, in .45 ACP I can do about anything I would ever need to do with a handgun with either of them, and they are both solid reliable handguns.

My first center fire handgun DW 15-2 and my first pistol a colt huntsman. Both mean as much to me today as when bought new in '76 and '71.

If I only get to have 2 one is going to be a pocket gun and the other will be a duty size gun.

Agreed. Given my inventory, the winners would be two selections from Česká Zbrojovka: my vz.70 for pocket-carry, and *one of my vz.82s for all other purposes.

(* Possibly to be replaced by my CZ 75 Compact, if the buggar ever comes in!)

It's been fun. I didn't mean a SHTF, situation. Everyone's
interests and disciplines are different, just wondering what
your must haves are. BTW, my Kimber 1911 in .45 I need
to add. Ok, it's up to three now, LOL. Thanks everyone !
