Usually in a dozer or crane.
I recently acquired this rifle, really not my cup of tea at the moment. I want to possibly sell to finance another project. I hope someone could place a fair value on this rifle.
It is a Remington 700 PSS in .308. It has a Millet Buck Gold 4-16x56 scope. It has a Harris bi-pod, and what looks like a cheap sling. I'm not sure of the year of manufacture nor the round count. The rifle is in real good condition.
Thanks for your help-

I would say closer to $700, but if the bore was bright and the gun in excellent condition I would probably say $800. Looks like Leuopold mounts/base and China-mart bipod.

800 would be cheap, 900 would be good, a 1000 would be a nice deal for you.
700 for the rifle, and bipod. 300 for the scope/rings@mounts setup.

For a FTF private sell, I'd list it at $1000 OBO. You could probably get someone to bite on that.

A gun shop, even on an outright buy, will probably give you only $700, the value of the rifle (maybe less being used). They don't increase what they'll pay for the accessories.

All that being said, I'll beat yenchisks by a dollar, and make it $1.99.:D

I sold one last year for 700.00, one the year before that for 600.00.

The 700.00 one I think I paid 700.00 for, shot it for 3 years, then sold it.

The 600.00 one I bought for 650.00, and pulled a 250.00 ring/mount off of before selling it. I can't recall shooting it.

There is one listed locally for 900.00. List higher, and take your best offer.

300 for the scope/rings@mounts setup

Which Millet scope is that? They range from like $185 - $300 new depending on reticle and if there is side focus. I would sell the scope separately if it is i good shape.

Heck, the way things are right now, ask 1200.0 for it, you can always come down, do like they do at the gun shows and lie to people about anything gun related and heck you might even get 1200.00 for it (tongue firmly planted in cheeK)

I firmly believe you can squeeze 1000 bucks out of that baby... Someone looking for a nice starting setup to/or not to build off of would be a good deal... Good luck with your sale!!!

Not to be a wet blanket but the scope is not a high-value name item (even if it is, in fact, good quality - and someone IS taking a risk on the scope being faulty. And too, the .308 is not even remotely close to being everyone's favorite target/varmint gun.
I keep the bipod and sell the rest figuring to ask $850 and very happy to get $750.

Local opinion may vary

IT was Given to you????
Does this person have anything else to Give away?
I am sure I could find homes for them.

Hey thanks a lot for all your opinions. I think I might try for 900 locally. I haven't priced out reloading equipment at all, but would love to get into it. I think 900 should be sufficient for the press, dies, etc. Not sure what else you need. I'll have to buy some brass as well, guess I should have been saving it up after all. I have heard good things about Dillon, seems kinda like the go-to brand. I know nothing about the machines, maybe one of you knows of a good route for me to take.
Thanks

If I had the money id consider dropping 900-1000 on a nice rifle set up like that.Or just call it a tactical Sniper rifle in .308 that will be banned and charge 2k:D.

I wish I would have bought a AR10 a WHILE ago the prices are outrageous these days... Even if the glass Isn't high quality and .308 Is not the most popular varmint cartridge... Who says someone wants it for that??? .308 is the most popular long range precision rifle round PERIOD. Plenty of people would pay for that setup for maybe a simple not to expensive sufficient long range rifle...
