What shotguns are you carrying to the field for those fast moving, crazy flying little buggers???

This year I'll primarily hunt with my 11-87.

I'll take one of these as "backup"

1) an 870,
2) my 500,
3) my Rem 31.

Where we dove hunt is a couple hours from home. A broken gun can ruin a hunt. I always take a spare. Never had to use it, but there's a first time for everything and Murphy is an unforgiving jerk.

Same gun I've been dove hunting since I was 12. Mossberg 183KC 20 gauge bolt-action...if I get a chance to go (I'll be moving from CA to NC and my home and hunting grounds are in ND).

I'm going to start the day with an Ithaca 37 Ultrafeatherlight 20 ga. I picked up during the off season. I'll have my Baikal 28 ga. SxS for backup and last but not least... One of the most underated (IMO), softest shooting semi-autos I've ever shouldered, a Winchester 1400 12 ga. That I picked up during the off season. I'll probably save the last four birds of my limit for it. :)

Browning Auto5 in 16ga, same one I've used since I was 14 or 15 back in the 80's.....sure wish 16 was cheaper :)

Was going to take my Spartan 20 gauge SxS coach gun on the bike to Waco, but son-in-law is going and we'll take his little Acura, so I'm taking my 12 gauge Winchester 1400. I almost would rather hunt with the 20, sorta off and on about it. Did quite well with the 20 last year, but I have made my mind up. That 1400 is sweet and fits like a well fitted glove.

Dove the most fun

I will use my spartan and the boys will carry an 870 and a 500 respectively all in 12. I am blessed to live in S Arizona and we have Dove off the charts....

I have a friend at work that really wants to go find some doves. With any luck that will be my first hunt. I'll be taking my 870 as long as the 28" barrel I ordered arrives in time. <crosses fingers>

Spanish 20 guage SxS. Of course, I always give the same answer when I get asked what I'm going to hunt a bird with, since it's my only shotgun.

The same Remington 870 in 16 gauge I got for my 11th birthday in 1965.

2 new to me guns aquired in the last year: 11-48 Sportsmen 20 Ga and an 870 Special Field 12 Ga (and just maybe the 28 Ga Charles Daly Auto if I buy a few more flats of ammo).

These. Left to right-20 gauge Magnum LC Wingmaster, 12 gauge magnum Wingmaster with 30" full, 12 gauge standard wingmaster with 28" modified, 16 gauge wingmaster with 28" modified, 16 gauge Stevens 311 with full and modified(I think).
