I picked up some Chip McCormick Shooting Star mags... they seem fine, but I was a bit miffed about the crummy weld/solder that runs the length of the magazine... looked pretty cheap and amateurish.
Whatever works in your gun. Before you go an load up on XXX Brand because a bunch of people on the interwebz told you to, why not try one or two of each major brand and find out what works in your gun? I've got 4 1911s and none have met a mag they didn't like. I happen to like Tripp cobramags (www.trippresearch.com), mostly because of the springs, followers, tubes, and, lowest on the list, feedlips.
