I'm looking for a ballistics app that will fit my needs. Currently I'm testing loads for my T99 Arisaka and want to shoot 500 yards and more. I will be handicapped using the original military sights but I'll make up for it by making a big bullseye to help me best center the sight picture.

At my disposal is the MV, and a close POI from 50, 100, 200, and 300 yards, and the bullets bullet's ( Hornady) BC. I discovered that the Hornady App doesn't list the 7.7x58. Is there an app that allows me to enter the mentioned data plus any other ambient conditions like temperature and altitude for this round?

Thanks

Thank you. I've downloaded the Hornady app by had reservations when I saw the list of cartridges it listed. SrelokPro is another app that was recommended to me too, so I'll keep that as a reference for a backup app.

I've downloaded the Hornady app [but] had reservations when I saw the list of cartridges it listed.

Why? The cartridge list (ammo library) is largely irrelevant - all you need is your bullet, or BC, and velocity. I don’t use the ammo library feature at all.

+2 for Strelok Pro

With Strelok the ammunition/bullet library (bullet library for me) does come in handy when adding loads, but it's really not essential. You just need MVs & temps, BC and zeroing conditions, scope height, twist etc. Everything can be manually entered. Strelok will take pressure or altitude.

I've found it's one of those garbage in, garbage out sort of things. The more precise with your entry data you are, the more correct your firing solution will be to your "should hit" VS "did hit" data.

I like Stelok Pro also. I am sure the other apps are as good but Igor the programmer for Strelok makes himself very accessable on the Strelok Facebook page and it's hard to get better tech support for a program than from the guy writing the code.
