What's the best deal on Surplus Ammo?

Ive noticed that lately ammo prices seem to be going up. Mil Surp ammo isn't going to get any easier to find than it is now. Right now, what caliber and from which country is the best deal on milsurp ammo? Also, which places currently have the best prices on mil surp ammo?

Agreed, 8mm Mauser and x54R are the best two in pricing. From what I understand, there are simply billions of rounds of both out there, so the situation won't be changing too soon... I hope.

Other situations are getting worse, fast. 7.5 Swiss, 7.62x51, 5.56x45, etc. ... all growing harder and harder to find in surplus, and more expensive when you do.

Looks like only Sportsmans Guide and AIM have some Yugo 50s left? Any rumors of more on the way?

My local gun shop had Czech 147 gr 7.62X54R Silver Tip surplus ammo and Yugoslavian 8mm Mauser surplus ammo for $3 a box (20). IMO, that is the best 2 surplus ammo calibers to have these days. The 7.62X39 AK ammo just keeps going up. Same shop had Wolf Military Classic 3 months ago for $3.20 a box, 2 months ago it was $340 a box and last week he had to raise the price to $3.80 a box. I'm just glad the 7.62X54R and 8mm Mauser ammo is still @ $3 a box.
