What's the deal with Dunhams?

We must be lucky here in Central Illinois. I get decent deals at both the Dunham's near me. I mostly buy sports equipment for my kids there though. Haven't bought any guns there but have gotten ammo. Prices seemed in-line with other retailers in the area. The coupons are a waste of time.

Back about 15 years ago there were two Dunhams within driving distance. One was as is being described here but the other one was GREAT. The good one was staffed by "gun guys" and when you bought a mil-surp there they were mostly de-cosmolined and the worst I think went to other stores.
