I will turn 21 down at The Citadel, almost a month before I'll be back at my home of record.
How would I go about getting my permit as quickly as possible? My dad said that Montgomery county requires in person applications, but I read on packing.org that some counties in the middle of the state will issue nonres permits completely via mail.
Do I have to get one from my home county? Or if say Bradford county will issue one through the mail, can I go that route?
Or would it be better to do it in person because anyone armed, especially someone my age, in my home town would be extremely out of the ordinary?
For the record, I get along well with my local PD, and I'm actually thinking about interning with them after OCS this summer--even though I have no intention of working LE in the near future, it looks like it would be interesting, since I'm a CJ major.
