my Worst Gun Ever: Imperial Metal Prod. U.S.A cal 22 short. This sat in my dads nightstand for decades. I inherited it along with the ammo he purchased way back then and I decided to shoot it. 2 shots into the second cylinder this happened:

norinco 213 9mm tokarev
Worst ever was Norinco 9mm tokarev. Uses standard 7.62 x 25 magazines with a spacer inside the mag to reduce to 9x19 length. The mag lips can barely get ahold of the round and causes ftf. Was like new and cheap. I still have it and have a plan on how to fix oneday.

I had a 213 for my first handgun. Once I re-profiled the feed ramp a little bit it ran like a top and was incredibly accurate as well. I don't recall if it had the spacer on the magazine or inside the magwell, however.

My one and only POS was a, gasp, Browning Buckmark Standard that I bought approx 9-10 years ago, new. Brought to range and ended up adjusting windage all the way over and wasn't even close to target. Looked at is and noticed the front sight not centered. Sent it back and got it back. Jamomatic. Tried all kinds of ammo, mags, etc. Still jamomatic, even on CCI minimag. Back again. Got it back and still had issues. Got tired of it and traded it back to original dealer. Dealer was outstanding though. Sent it back on their, or browning's, dime and allowed me free range rental while it was away.

Bought a Ruger Mark II Target used and it has been flawless. I do have the itch to try another browning though.

Charter Arms AR-7 .22 LR. It might as well been a single shot because it jammed on every shot.

That's news to my ears. I have a Browning Buckmark and it is accurate, fun to shoot and eats up all kinds of ammo without jamming. I like it better than the S & W 617 10 shot .22LR revolver I bought that cost twice the price of the Buckmark. I also had to return the 617 back to S& W for repair because the cylinder tended to freeze up after 10 or more shots.

EAA Witness in 45 cal. -Everytime I fired a round the take down pin would fall out. Took 3 shots to figure out that the gun was going back to the dealer.

Para Ordnance 1911.

Called Para, they BS'd their way around. I finally managed to fix it well enough to make it safe (got rid of hammer follow) and sold it.

For the money spent, a Walther PPK. Complete jammo-matic.

Other than that experience I have had good luck. A couple GOOD experiences in "cheap" guns are a S&W 22A that a lot of people badmouth. Excellent and very accurate. Just change the buffer and spring occasionally. Mine shoots anything and has had the snot shot out of it. And believe it or not an early Rossi 68 S&W snub copy. Still have it. Shoots fine and dead on the money. They USED to make good guns back in the day, way better than Taurus IMHO.

Sorry guys. We're not allowed to start new threads. We can only use the search function from now on to see what's already been talked about. Everything related to guns has already been talked about here in old threads. Nothing new can be offered. Sorry, PlateStacker says so. He's been here since April and is sick of it. :fire:

Worst guns

I think it's a tie between the older Para Ordnance p-10's and the Kimber ultra carry. Tried several of each, tried breaking them in sufficiently, tried changing my grip/hold, tried different ammo, tried sending them back for repairs, SOL. Diddn't even want to sell them to anyone, felt too guilty. Sold them back to the stores I bought them from in all cases. This thread's got alot of posts. Feels good to complain about being ripped off doesn't it.....

Far and away the worst pistol I've ever owned was a Ruger KP345PR .45 auto, followed closely by, yep you guessed it, a Ruger KP94 .40 auto....Never again will a Prescott produced product stink up my home....:)

Funny, I have four Rugers, and only my SR9c had issues, but that was in the breaking-in period. My Security Six is a tank and will probably outlast my children. My Mini-14 has not failed once. My 22/45 only failed a couple times on the first few magazines during the break-in period. Now they have all settled in nicely and are completely reliable, though the Security Six is by far my favorite.

I don't have any experience with the P345, but have heard good enough things, I just haven't heard the .45 calling. As for the P94, I just never liked it's looks, nor am I jumping to join the .40 club...

You near Denali? I was up there late last summer and did some hiking around the park, but am still not a part of the 30% club...

SIG P232...went back to the factory three times. Still somehow my fault...stovepiped like crazy. Wouln't feed hollowpoints or trunicated cone. Crazy with SIG's repuation, customer service was garbage. They just wouldn't replace it.

Erma EP22 Luger. Jamomatic, but it belonged to an Uncle (passed) I was really close to. So needless to say it's a keeper.

I've owned two Taurus revolvers and they were so bad, I wouldn't own one now even if someone gave it to me free and clear.

Ruger Mini-14. Inaccurate is an understatement. Lucky to consistently hit a 9" paper plate at 100 yards.

I'd have to say a Ruger LCP. It's a great gun, but of my collection it's the worst. My collection includes a couple XDm, a Supernova, and an SP101.

A TZ-75 bought in 1985 - jam-o-matic. Traded it for a S&W 586 when I went to the Sheriff's Academy.

A S&W 22-A bought, used, last year. FTF,FTE, wouldnt go into battery to save its life. Sold it, with full disclosure, at a $50.00 loss. Have yet to replace it, but plan on staying away from Walther P-22s.
