Used them all, mostly CCI over the years, never had a dud, but recently went to all WW for SPP and may go the same route or Wolf for LPP... As mentioned, CCI primers are a tad larger, or some other factor causes them to require more force to fully seat.
I'd recommend Federal primers, If you can get it reasonable priced.
I load my 9x19 with Winchester or Magtech primer now. Because Federal primer get very hard to find and is very pricy here.
Currently I use CCI300 large pistol primers to load my .45acp, fired over 1000 rds now. But no one FTF yet.
I have used Federal, CCI, and Winchester and never noticed any difference over the years. And never had a single FTF in probably tens of thousands of reloads, until Tuesday night. It was a Winchester primer that I had loaded up Sunday afternoon. It came from a box of primers that had a date written on the side sometime in 1992.
I must have gone a little crazy buying primers back then cause I still have about 1200 left with the same date.
I am thinking of switching to wolf due to the price and the experience of those who have used them and like them.
I use Winchester Small Pistol for my .38's, 9mil & 40 S&W, For the 357 I use Federal 200. In the past I have found that CCI and FEDs seem too hard for my auto loaders and my PPC guns.
