I knew it could be done jmr40. Not all rifles shoot the same of course but if a person gets a good 10/22 and that person knows how to shoot it then a sub quarter inch group is entirely possible. Ruger lets some very good shooting rifles out the door but like all other brands not all of them will do it. But a good percentage will.
I shoot a stock carbine with a cleaned up trigger and a Nikon 4x. Mini Mags and SV usually put 10 rounds within an inch at 50 yards. That's plenty good for me.
My 10-22 is out of the box stock except for the scope , and it will shoot sub Minute of Squirrel's Head groups at 50 yards. Now for me to shoot those groups takes a steady table , a front bag and no wind.
OK now that we know we have some decent shooting .22's out there let's see some targets posted in the Q1 RIMFIRE challange...once the weather warms a little.
