What's Your Favorite Brand Of Bullets?

For a brand, it is Lee. Well that is who made most of my molds. A strong second is my own home crafted NLG molds. About half are tumble lube (38 Sp power level or less) the rest get shake & bake powder coat.

For 223, cast did not work out. I am still working through a huge batch of cheap 45 gr frangibles (the local indoor range mandated frangible ammo for 223/5.56).
All of my molds are Lee with the exception of one.
It's a .451 cal conical bullet mold for BP. It is OUTSTANDING!
I also put my cast bullets through a sizer prior to coating. I'm not really sure it makes a difference as I've never tried it not sizing them... but it makes me feel better.

For handguns I usually go talk to the guy in my garage and have him cast up what I need.

I've only just recently discovered RMR though, and I've been buying theirs for 9mm.

ACME. I've never had a problem with their bullets. One thing I like is the color selection. I load different ammo with different colors.

I also use different colors to tell the diference between loads.
I use the colored plastic boxes for my reloads & ALWAYS include a label with every detail about the cratridge, # of times cases have been reloaded, bullet type, brand & weight, powder brand & type and of course # of grains, primer brand & type and of course the date.

I load mostly rifle for hunting use. My go to are Nosler and Barnes. I found good to great accuracy with them early on when I started loading. I’ve stuck with them because they make their load data available for free and terminal performance has also been good to great.

It depends on the gun, but Accubonds work well for most of my applications. I shoot 95gr Ballistic SilverTips in my 243 most of the time unless it is for Armadillos. They get a 90gr BallisticTip. The 300WSM likes 165gr AB, the M18 Mauser 6.5 CM gets 130 gr Sierra TGK's, and the Bergara 6.5 CM gets 129gr ACLR. I haven't tried the AC in the M18. They hold together better than the TGK's, but the Sierras shoot so well that I hate to leave them.

The favorite load for my GP is a 180gr XTP. It has taken six deer out to 45 yards with only one tracking job over 50 yards. It was a liver hit that went 200 yards.

I buy Hornady whenever I find a good price. I recently acquired some Montana Gold (very nice), Sig Sauer, but the majority of my plinking is Everglades and Berrys...in that order. I started with Berrys, and they're fine for what I use them for, but I often find large quantities of Everglades JHP at close to Berry's pricing. Pre-pandemic I was obtaining JHP from TJ Conevera, but post-Covid vacuum they are just not competitive... but I always check.

I have a decent quantity of Lapua 220gr Scenar-L that I bought for half price on sale at Graf & Sons that I use for subsonic 300BLK loads. Beautiful bullets.

I have a mold that drops at .359.
I have dies from .355 to .358. If I were lubing these bullets I can size to .356 in one step by just passing a lubed bullet through once in a while.

Trying to go directly to .356 without lube so that I can powder coat wasn’t easy.
That’s why I started sizing after powder coat and it works very well.

Probably Hornady. Good variety and seemingly better availability even in these tough times. But in terms of volume I shoot more plated bullets, typically Berry's or X-Treme.

.280 and 7-08 get 139 gr Hornady SSTs for deer, 140 gr and 150 Barnes respectively for elk, and California non-toxic hunting.

7mm Rem Mag, 160 grains Nosler Accubond.

.338 210 grain Barnes although many years ago I loaded some 1st gen Ballistic Tips for deer. Accurate lil grenades. Quit that experiment after killing a couple of deer and destroying them.

.243? Currently playing with 8 different bullets to see which is the most accurate. Pure coyote gun.

Handguns: whatever is available so that means I have lots of Berry’s and Extreme for practice and a bunch of Hornady XTPs . Throw in a 1,000 Sigs for my .380 since I couldn’t find anything else.

Needless to say, I don’t have a favorite bullets company. Just whatever works best in that particular gun.

No particular order but as to quality and match I like Sierra, Speer and Hornady for rifle. Havented hunted in about 10 years so haven't loaded any hunting bullets. Handgun I like the Hornady XTP bullets in 38/357 and 45 ACP. Since I don't cast for lead I like MBC stuff with a fondness for their DEWC stuff.

Speer, until they quit making my favorite deer bullet ( 165 gr.) round nose for 30 cal. rifle. Now I like Sierra. Handgun are my own cast SWC for .38/357. .44 mag. 45 ACP

I’m not very brand loyal. Family has an awesome Sierra load for 270. Berrys for 9mm plinkers. Hornady SST for rifle. Eldx for some target shooting.

I do not have one favorite across all calibers. Do have favorites per caliber and use.
Currently loading some .375's with Cutting edge bullets.
ER RAPTOR 235 gr.
This bullet is ballistically stable upto 600 yards as a dangerous game bullet. Plus I had perfect results on one bull moose with it.
They are expensive but on game worth every penny.
