Strictly taking bulls eye accuracy not the fastest or most powerful.
For me it's always been 125gr. JHP on top of 13.5gr of 2400 for .357 Magnum or
158gr. lead semi wadcutter on top of 3.0gr. of bullseye, this is the most accurate and pleasant to shoot. How about you folks?

I have only tried a few powders, and 6.4 grs unique has been good for me.
It shoots great in my revolvers and carbine. Very pleasant to shoot as well.
I admit that I havent spent the time required to develop loads for specific guns.

I have had very good accuracy with 6.5 grains of Unique and 125 grain plated bullets. Also 13.5 grains of 2400 with 158 grain JHP.

I've used the Unique load with success in a variety of guns, from Mod 60s to M92s. I've only shot the 2400 load in a Blackhawk and 686.

13.6gr of Accurate #9, Hornady 158gr xtp with a standard small primer this load shoots very well in a Ruger Sec. Six w/a 2.75" barrel.

I like 6.5 grains of Unique behind the Lyman 358156 gascheck bullet. This has been an accurate, mid-range load that shoots well in nearly every gun with which I've tried it.

When accuracy is truly the only thing that matters, I use 2.7 grains of Bullseye with a Hornady "dry lubed" HBWC in a .38 case. In the rare instance that a .357 doesn't like .38 cases, I switch to 3 grains in .357 brass.

Thanks for all the replies folks. Would really like to try some HBWC's and will probably buy 100 to try out. Anyone like to recommend their favorite?
Just don't have the eye site any more to see the open sights.
I feel your pain, when in my 20's I could shoot 1" groups at 25 yards regularly but nowadays, well let's just say 7yds. is the new 25.:(
Always liked Unique but I switched to Universal because it meters better and provides the same performance with less powder.
Got the 13.5gr. 2400 load from Skeeter Skelton back in the late 70's.
It's top performance was with the Speer 146gr. half jacketed semi-wadcutter, which is no longer made.
I still have some but won't shoot em cause they are kinda like the coveted baseball cards I used to have. :uhoh:

Mine is a charge of Herco 2400 that’s over max in any current book (not that any current book lists Herco powders) with a 158 grain JHP. Golf balls at 50 yards move much further away upon firing at them.
