I have been bowhunting for the past few weeks and I wanted to know if calls work.
I have been using the faun in distress call. It is a little can that u turn upside down to make a noise.
Of all the times I used it I only heard a reply to it once. A buck started making a grunt call. I called and received replies from the buck for 3-4 minutes. (I never ended up seeing anything)
Do calls work better during the "rut"?
Should I go out and buy a grunt call? (the long tube u blow into)
Thanks
