Where all do you carry?

I carry most everywhere I go. However, my job requires me to go on sales calls, and i will not carry in other people's homes. So it stays in the truck. I also have to pull permits which means .gov and metal detectors ( I don't even wear a belt in that building. not worth having to take it off and put it back on).

I also tend not to carry walking my daughter to her school building. we drive about 5 blocks to save time, the hoof it across the sports yard. I usually leave it in the truck, but i have forgotten before. I don't go inside any buildings. I would feel better armed. I'm not a paranoid type that needs a pistol on me 24/7, but too many soft targets have been hit by crazy people, and I don't like gambling with my little girl's safety...anyway, I digress.

In short, if it isn't government property where I am going to get wanded down, a private residence where I don't want to upset the homeowner, or a school, I carry.

Funny story: In November my wife and I went to a concert at a private venue. I had no idea that they had a weapons policy. The security guy looked in my wife's purse (kinda excessive for a Christmas music concert, but whatever). He asked me if I "had a knife on" me. I said with a shocked look on my face, "Oh God no!" He waved me through. I was truthful. I didn't have "a knife on me"...I had 3 and a .380 tucked in my waist. Hey, the concert was downtown. I'm not going down there naked;)

I have a contractor-grade "security" front door, which is not that secure. It was an eye opener for me to see how quickly the average contractor grade door can be broken down. I was researching how much it would cost to harden the entryway and really I need a new frame, and a whole new door.

I am saving up for it, but I carry all the time because I know how quickly your average "security" door can be breached.
You can get a steel security door that comes with its own frame and deadbolt, that goes IN FRONT OF the regular door. They are sort of a perforated steel version of a screen door, i.e. you can open the regular door to talk to somebody without giving them the opportunity to get in. They have additional steel in various designs outside the perforated sheet which is both decorative and strengthening, they open outward and cannot be kicked in, and come in various powder-coat colors. Go to Home Depot or Lowes website and type "security doors" in the search box. They can cost as low as ~$100.

Unfortunately, I live in PA (Free America) but work in the People's Republic of New Jersey, so sadly, I'm disarmed from the time I leave the house in the morning to about 6:00 at night. Then I'll holster up if I'm heading out, otherwise, I've got a few about the house should the need arise.

Weekends? Generally carrying, unless visiting family in NJ.

Probably 95% of the time, I have my CCW on me.

I don't carry in schools, the Court House or Jail.
That would NOT be fun to be caught carrying in those places
