Where Are All the Primers

Out here in Oregon I can't find any primers anywhere. There are some shotgun primers but nothing else. Even Bi Mart is out of primers.
Is it still people stocking up because of the Obamanation or is it something else?

I think all the primers are supplying what little factory ammo can be produced after they supply the troops. Wolf primers are still highly available as they are not supplying our troops.

Check powdervalley. They usually have plenty. Order a bunch to offset the $20 hazmat, and you're good to go.

powder valley doesn't have jack in wolf primers. most of their other stuff is in short supply also.

I found some WLR primers, I haven't bought them yet cause they are only selling a case of 5K. What do you think is a fare price for these?

Where Are All the Primers

Same place all the other reloading components & factory ammo went.

*Drug Cartels are buying it all for the war in Mexico?
*War in Iraq.
*Extremely high copper & lead prices probably drove down raw material inventory at the ammo plants a year ago and they haven't caught back up.
*Pre-election hording.
*Post election hording.
*Pre & post election first gun owners buying factory ammo faster then anticipated.
*A whole bunch of new reloaders who can't afford the ridiculously high factory ammo prices.

It has been the "Perfect Storm" for reloading supplies over the past year or so.

These folks currently have primers. Even have some Federal 205m small rifle. Hope this helps someone.

I feel guilty about all the primers I've been putting away for the past couple of years when I read about the difficulty people are having finding them. Hold it, the feeling has passed. To those friends of mine who said I was nuts for putting away such large quantities
