Where there is a demand someone will ALWAYS find a way to meet it.Until the time it doesn't. There are no guarantees.

This is still America after all. No matter what the media tells you.

The Guns and Ammunition Manufacturing industry has experienced growth and volatility over the five years to 2020. Industry operators design and manufacture small arms, bombs, ammunition, artillery and related parts. Companies in this industry range from small arms manufacturers to large multibillion-dollar defense contractors, with many companies serving both the civilian and military markets. Over the five years to 2020, industry revenue is expected to increase at an annualized rate of 3.3% to $16.0 billion, including a 3.8% surge in 2020
I sent a revolver into S&W for repair. Usually within a week after receiving a gun I get a call or email that they are working on it. I haven’t received any word on my gun. It’s been there 4 or 5 weeks now. I did speak with a lady in Customer Service and she said they were short staffed. According to an article I read S&W was up and operating but it doesn’t appear that way.
I have been wanting to buy an S&W 327 TRR8 but there are none to be found. There are none at distributors, online sales or local gun stores. I guess I will just have to wait.
Some of S&W's manufacturing capabilities have been dedicated to making PPE: https://www.americanrifleman.org/ar...esson-producing-ppe-during-covid-19-outbreak/
Yes manufacturing plants are closed
Arkansas' two large ammunition plants are working around the clock to meet demand spurred by a nationwide run on ammunition as coronavirus concerns arise.
Gun and ammunition maker Sig Sauer Inc. operates a plant in Jacksonville and Remington Arms runs a big one in Lonoke.

Slim Pickens out there...
I found 9mm, 38Special and 223 pretty easily..BassPro, AmmoSupplyWarehouse and Freedom Munitions..just gotta pay about $.60 per for any of it.I can't find ammo around here and even online is tricky. The only decent prices I've found on handguns have been on a couple of 22's.
Luckily I've learned to keep plenty of ammo squirreled away.
