Hello all... i'll be moving to Tn in about a year and was wondering where there are huntable populations of wild the state? That may cause me to look for a house in a huntable zone!
There is currently very little wild hog hunting in Tennessee. Read this for more information. Those 10 "additional designees" spots fill up fast on most farms that have hog problems. https://www.tn.gov/twra/wildlife/mammals/large/wild-hog.html

There are hogs in the mountains along the TN/NC border. I'm not sure how many, but it isn't like Texas and Florida. We have quite a few here in the N. GA mountains. I see them, or their damage often when hunting here but I think they are more common near the agricultural areas in the southern part of GA.
Monterey area in Putnam and Cumberland counties are pretty well populated in some areas. Overton county as well to an extent. The great thing about the Monterey area is that there is a huge tract of land that the Calfkiller river runs through where they sell keys each year and the folks who buy keys to the lease can hunt/fish/camp on it and I know a couple guys who hunt it pretty hard, and they ALWAYS kill hogs. Occasionally there are bear taken there, and lots of turkey and deer.
