Cabela's in Dundee. Down Hwy 50 to Hwy 23. 1200 rounds of .45 Colt 250 grain RNFP runs $439.99. Comes in 4 plastic ammo cans.
On the other hand, Cabela's will sell you, 1,000 cast bullets for $65.99, 1,000 large pistol primers for $21.99, two pounds(875 rds per lb at 8.0 grains per shot)of Unique powder(given for the accuracy load in my manual) for $39.98, $120.99 for 1,000 Magtech cases(assuming you don't have a pile of brass already). A total of $248.95($127.96 if you have the brass) per thousand rounds of 250 grain .45 Colt ammo that'll be tailored for your revolver. And Cabela's isn't the least expensive place to buy loading components. Gun shows are usually good place for components.
Reloading is the way to go if you're playing any kind of shooting game.

Thanks guys,

I guess I should have said .38 cowboy ammo.

Yes, I know I need to start reloading.

Georgia Arms & national bullet are just what I was looking for.

For .38, MidwayUSA has the Lancer stuff cheap (even cheaper if you have a C&R), and it works well in my Marlin. With the price I pay with a C&R, I can't reload it competitively.
