Where to find small gauge barrels for a Winchester 101 O/U?

I have a Winchester 101 from 1967 with 32" 12 gauge O/U barrels. The serial numbers on the barrels and the receiver don't match.

I'd love to pick up some .410 and maybe 20 gauge barrels for this gun, but to date I've never seen standalone barrels on sale anywhere.

Where should I look? And what's the likelihood of small gauge barrels for this gun ever turning up?

You may be able to find full-length barrel inserts that will reduce a 12 ga to something smaller.

Any barrel sets would have to be fitted to your gun

While sub-gauge tubes could be more realistic, they will change the balance by adding anywhere from about 11 to 16 ounces to the barrels.

There are short subgauge tubes that only go about half way down the barrel and SUPPOSEDLY give the same ballistics

I've thought about this some more. Seems like I'm over-engineering a simple problem.

If I want a .410, maybe I should just buy a dedicated small-bore gun like a Browning BPS Hunter in .410 and call it a day. Can probably get one new for under $550 or so.

Tube sets are the hot set up for competitive skeet. I am sure they are less expensive than finding a barrel set and having them fitted to your receiver.

There are lots of options these days including interchangeable chokes that were not available when I bought tubes.

I have a tubed Citori and thoroughly enjoy shooting it.

Check out Briley or Kolar.
