Where to get a CHEAP CC permit course?

Kevin, you do not know me to begin with so what kind of comment is that? First I'm not HR material, then you won't feel comfy around my "type" with a CC permit because the "tone" of my posting. My "Tone" is that way because I'm being jumped when all I did was ask for a cheap course. Not that it's anyones business, but I don't even plan on carrying. My main concern is the open carry regs in Denver and other areas. For example, you can't even drive through denver with an AW depending on the clip you have. There are so many BS tiny regs to hem people up who open carry. Therefor, to CMA, I plan on getting the permit. I honestly am not looking for self defence, just getting the permit while I still can because if they change the laws, maybe I'd be grandfather claused in. Due to the fact I seldom if ever will be carrying conceled, I just want the paper to get it so I'm legal if I choose to. I am well versed on laws such as intimidation and causing "concern" by so much as placing my hand on a holster let alone making threats or intimidation etc. I only want it so I'm covered if laws change. My method of self defence is " if I happen to have it on me, and if in danger and unable to remove myself from said danger, I would draw and unload the clip" However, it's not likely I'd even have it on me bc I'm not a gun slinger, just an NRA member who wants my card before gun grabbing liberals chip away at the laws so much I can't get one. So, I want a cheap one for paper only. So please stop with the save and pay more for better training etc. It's not right to assume one knows why one wants the permit and not right to jump or judge or question their motives.

Also, thanks for the input BHK. I'll be sure to keep current. Out here they seem like people want them to change daily. Honestly, Id probably only carry when I go to the mountains hiking in the back woods with my wife.

You seem to have some "connected people" in your life who taught you all you need to know.

Ask them who they know that teaches the course you need.

I can always learn more right! Really though, I grew up in IL and am now in Colorado and don't really know anyone. Otherwise it wouldn't be an issue. Great advice though.

Community Colleges here often hold the classes as they are already setup for BLET program, so there is already a certified instructor and range. They are typically $50-75. Independent instructors in the area charge $75-100. How our state is setup (and I imagine most others) there is offical coursework that is coverered in every class, in our case over half is watching videos. So 90% of your class is going to be the same everywhere you go. Many reasons to pick classes based on the instructors, some are better speakers, more knowledgable, and go above what is required. In my case we had a good teacher, a real classroom that was comfortable (College) and pistol range right out back. Also the course was 6pm-11pm on a wednesday night then 8am-noon the following saturday which broke up the boredom. Plenty of reasons to pick one course over another.
