I agree, I think the Lithuanian .308 shoots very well in my M1A SOCOM... It's very good quality, accurate, non corrosive, reloadable, non magnetic, and can be found online. I get mine from The Armory's online store. Takes about a week to get, signature required at delivery. I bought 600 for 300 bucks plus 40 bucks shipping shipping last week... maybe not the absolute best deal out there, but it beats the pants out of my local gun store prices (dollar a round for cheap domestic FMJ) Hope this helps you out!
Blarelli--Cheapest and best ammo you'll ever use is the stuff you roll yourself. Needing to feed an expensive-ammo rifle is one of the best reasons to start reloading.
First purchase is The ABC's of Reloading, latest edition, put out by Krause Publications. That will inform you all about practices, procedures, and what equipment you want/don't want/need/don't need to get started.
I have a friend who constantly complains abt the hi cost of his ammo, and who also says he's too busy/can't afford to start reloading. (He shoots a .300 Wby Mag.) Hah! Otherwise he's a rather sensible guy.
