Which 124 grain 9mm?

I have loaded, and shot over 40,000 124gr RN Xtreme bullets. They are great bullets, but I would also look at RMR Thick plated bullets. I just tried them myself, and was very impressed. I will be trying them next year in matches.

Thanks. I don't have Titegroup powder, but I will add your suggestion to my list of suggested loads. Seems everybody loves Xtreme 124gr HP, so I decided to order some today to see how it compares to the RN.

I like plinking with the good stuff, so Nosler HP would be my recommendation.

58.33% - 62.50% = 14k (acclaimed 58.33%)
75.00% - 79.16% = 18k (acclaimed 75.00%)
91.66% - 95.83% = 22k (acclaimed 91.66%)
95.83% - 99.95% = 23k (acclaimed 95.83%)
99.95 and above = 24k (acclaimed 99.99%)

24 carat might be to soft resulting in Golding???

Tried some RMR "thick plate in 45 APC, really liked them.
I have some in 9mm I am going to test tomorrow that I got as a PIF from BDS.
I also ordered some of both.

I am going to try to test the RMRS vs the MBC cones both coated and uncoated.
Different beasts, plated vs lead but it should be interesting as long as I don't have one of those days :where I cant shoot straight to save my.....

Looking at buying some 124 grain 9mm bullets for general plinking.

As many others posted, for general plinking, I would go with lower priced plated bullets.

I have narrowed my choices down to the Berrys 124 HBRN and the Precision Delta 124 grain fmj. Guns in use will be my CZ's and S&W Shield.

Anyone have any experience with either of these?

While I have not shot PD FMJ bullets, I have shot plenty of Berry's 124 gr HBRN-TP and Montana Gold/Winchester FMJ bullets. For me, due to the hollow base, some HBRN-TP loads have shot more accurate than FMJ loads.

Any other recommendations in the 124 arena?

I would definitely recommend you try Rocky Mountain Reloading's new thick plated bullets. With some plated bullets with softer core, I have experienced bullet setback when the finished rounds are fed/chambered from the magazine. RMR's new plated bullets with harder 11-12 BHN lead alloy core seem to produce sufficient neck tension as I have not experienced bullet setback on various 9mm/40S&W/45ACP loads using mixed range brass.
