Which AK sidefolder is this?

The factory codes match the pattern used by China.

Also maybe the last picture in the posting might have given it away also - but I could be wrong.

Just sayin'

My BIL has on. A real nice little AK. I've been trying to talk him out of it but no luck. :banghead:

I know those two rifles are Chinese. I did the search for that particular Norinco and Polytech. What I really want to know is where can I find that type of stock.

That side folder is a Chinese factory item, I have very rarely seen the stock sold seperately, and they usually want a lot for it, however, there is a Chinese air rifle (XS-B3-1) you can get for about $50 that also uses the same stock, though it would be a gunsmith proposition to remove it and put it on something else. I would guess even if you found the stock by itself, it will take some smithing to get it on. The air rifle is a trainer for the PLA and it uses actual AK parts. Sportsmansguide sells them. Maybe you could get one, take off the folder, and put a regular ak stock on it if you are handy. Also, the stock has a very short length of pull.

Looking at some of the stock only ads, it looks like there is a bit of mounting bracket.

Looking at the air rifle I have, the rifle part of the hinge is directly attached to the receiver of the air rifle, you would have to cut off the back section and probably weld it onto your rifle. It looks doable, but you would have to be pretty good at that sort of thing.
