Which AR mount?

nope, though I believe nikon may have changed the design from that midway picture. amazon has it with a different picture and cheaper. http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-834-M-223-Mount/dp/B00BK4ISWC When I was looking into mounts for my AR, I came across internet rumor that warne made it for nikon, but when I called and asked warne they had no comment.

I bought this one http://www.midwayusa.com/product/22...gs-flat-top-ar-15-matte?cm_vc=subv12228288312 that sure looks like a warne made mount. it works fine, and seems very well made, though it mounts the optic a little lower than I would like. .85 height, same as that DNZ mount you linked.

The nikon is a little taller at 1", and it's cheaper, so of those 2, I would get the nikon.

if I could have and mount under 100 bucks, I would get the aero precision lightweight mount. https://www.primaryarms.com/Aero-Precision-s/5409.htm

Same material, same finish, ... different styling. The Nikon is more pleasing to my eye but the DNZ has that extra .10 star-rating.

Are you sure you don't want to spend another $10 and get one with quick-release, in case something happens to your optic?

I was planning on ordering for Amazon but linked to Midway because I was already there looking at other stuff. Thanks for looking out for better prices though! Looks like the ring design is a little different, but the base looks the same with the old and new.

Will look more at the AR-Stoner. I have never scoped an AR, always an irons user, so I don't know what height I would prefer.

As far as quick release, it's not really a factor on this build. I don't plan on any BUIS as it's more of a range and hunting gun.

Looked at the Aero, but wasn't sure if I would like the rings.

I have been using my Burris mount for some time and it is great. I do wish they had the quick disconnects back when I bought mine though.

I am scoping two uppers at the same time. I picked up a QD PEPR for a 16" upper with fixed front sight. I am waiting on the flip up rear sight and 1-4 scope to get here. The range upper is 18" rifle length Wylde chambered with MI Keymod rail. I was thinking since I wasn't going to put back up sights on it I would try to keep the weight and bulk down. Thanks for the suggestion!

I second the 2-piece recommendation. Most single mounts weight almost half a pound. (If you're concerned about weight saving)

Yes sir.

"If you're looking for weight savings, do you have enough rail space to go with a 2-piece?"
