I saw those ARCALok components on their website, but I could not figure out what they were for. Are these something new and what do you use them on?

ARCA-Swiss mounts have been around since the 1990’s. It’s a photography/videography gear connectivity/adaptability system, largely surrounding a 1.5” 60degree dovetail. The Area419 version is called Arcalock, which uses scalloping on the dovetail to engage with pins in the clamps to fix the clamp in position, preventing it from sliding along the dovetail under load.

For photography, I use arca rails and clamps to connect cameras and lenses and video displays to tripods, supports, brackets, etc. For shooting sports, I use arca interfaces for all of my spotting optics for quick detachment from tripods. I also use arca rails on many of my rifles (all of my precision rifle competition rifles) to connect bipods and tripods. I have multiple arca rails with 2 and 3 clamp interfaces so I can have multiple spotting devices engaged in one platform.

I found a partial of Fiocchi HV.
Went with lower rings on my Savage MKii TR.
So had to re zero.

Want to run SK, so figured get it on w the cheap stuff first.
Yup, half inch gun at 50 yards (5 shots).
Trigger felt heavy, haven't adjusted it.
Leupold Freedom VX 6-18X worked, but the turrets seem mushy.

The more I shoot the more picky I get, trigger and optic adjustments.

Oh well, its good enough to test with the SK stuff now.
If its a dandy, change trigger and scope.

Just keep in mind with the CZ rifles that some have Match chambers which are cut to minimum specifications.
The MTR is one of those models that I am aware of.
In Canada the CZ 457 At-One also has a Match chamber but I don’t think CZ-USA imports them.
Ours have European muzzle threading 1/2” x 20tpi.

One of the members of my gun club has the AT-ONE that he purchased here in West Virginia. He let me shoot it which how I got on this kick in the first place. 😄
I am assuming a “match chamber” can be ammo finicky?

It won't take CCI Stingers.
I mostly shoot CCI SV or some variant of SK for practice, or Lapua for competitions.

Don't take this as gospel but I was told that the headspace in CZ rifles favors SK/Lapua while on Bergara's it favors Eley.
I have tried a few different types of Eley without anything standing out.

Locally there's a Savage Anschutz 10b w sights.
I have that dang gloss 12x leupold laying around ( too short to use on my Ruger #1 ).....

Id really rather have a repeater, or a 64M ( had one yrs ago ).

I haven't read all 180+ responses so some of this is probably redundant.

At one point I owned a CZ452, an Anschutz (don't remember the model), a Tikka T1x, a Bergara B14r and a Savage mk2 series. The Tikka and Bergara were the best shooters by a decent margin. The Anschutz was very good if expensive ammo was used. The Savage was a very good shooter inside 50yds with all types of ammo. The CZ was the most ammo picky and needed trigger work to be a better than average shooter.
Of that bunch I'd get another Tikka.

Currently I shoot a Mossberg 144 LSA manufactured in 1960 or 1961. I have managed a .4 something 100yd group with it.

Don’t shoot copper clad bullets, don’t shoot gimmicky ammo, and most problems won’t present themselves. (You shouldn’t be shooting supersonic ammo for long range Rimfire anyway). There ARE a lot of match chamber reamers which won’t allow a live round to be extracted without being fired, so that can be a complication under certain circumstances.

That’s fine with me. I shoot stingers in my 10/22, but that’s it. It isn’t the most accurate ammo in my revolvers or my Kel Tec CP33.

You’re the 4th person to tell me that, so I will definitely listen to that advice and use only lead in my CZ.

Yeah, having a loaded chamber you can’t clear would definitely be a problem at some point. Thank you.

Ive been on the look for a Savage/Anschutz 164..... for a hunter.
Like the raised comb and schnabel tip.
Prices seem silly.
May end up w a classic stock 1416.
If so, my Savage may go bye bye.

I know my old 141 sporter hung right with my 65M.
Which kinda shocked me.

Trigger acted as bolt stop on my 141 and if set light the bolt would come out during manipulation LOL
Dunno if that can modified.
